The true wealth of any nation has always been its people. We have lost this knowledge in our pursuit of the "American Dream" We have been ceaselessly exposed to phrases like "standard of living"; "inflation"; "cost of living"; "the value of a dollar"; "the economy" or "working for a living." We have been bombarded with advertisements for years telling us to "buy this or that to feel better, look better, be better" - words that have taken us farther and farther away from recognizing that the real worth of a nation is "life" itself. We have gone from investing in ourselves to investing in money. Money should not be the "end-all" to living nor used to value life; but, instead, should be a "tool" that is used to trade value for value. Why is more value placed on an individual's occupation, rather than the "life" of the person? If no monetary system were in place, would recognition be given to the contribution of the farmer or mechanic or teacher or parent as being equal? The value of a dollar has power because we "give" it an importance it does not deserve. We started giving away our freedoms when we gave more importance to money rather than life itself. Many talk about the devaluation of the American dollar and suggest changing the monetary system using gold to value the dollar. However, I would argue that changing the "value" of the dollar to any item that is valued more than life itself is not the answer. Life IS the value by which all other things should be measured. The trick is to "use" the monetary system; not be lead by it. When all decisions are based on the value of life; we are as a people and a nation richer for it. The powers that control our monetary system control us because we let them. These "powers that be" are not afraid of changing the money system to other coin; they are afraid that WE WILL change the value we place on the money system. They ARE AFRAID we will finally unite with this knowledge. I personally believe that is why there are so many factions and religions, so we will not unite under one common bond. But our religious beliefs nor the color of our skins should not bely the importance of this message -make life itself the arbitrator of our net worth. And therein lies the rub; are we willing to unite for ourselves? Are we willing to change what we value? When we change our values to fight for "life" itself, then and only then will our world be different.

This domain name may be Home Earners, but that doesn't mean it's totally locked in to marketing pages and business stuff. You may be a regular home maker who doesn't care one iota about marketing and home based business. You may be a history buff, a jazz guitarist, or a Star Trek enthusiast!It was never my intention to lock people into any one catagory when I set this site up. It just so happens that Business starts with a B and is one of the first alphabet letters!Home Earners is also about HOME. What other things do we all do at home? We eat...we have kids, we play games, we listen to music, we garden, we knit, we cook, we sleep, we all have ailments from time to time. So why does everyone see the phrase home earners and automatically assume that the site is all about marketing?Catagories can always be added to. What else do you do from home that you would like to write about? Are you an Artist? Do you cook? Do you have car problems? There are 26 letters in the alphabet in the English language, and there are hundreds of languages besides that! We haven't even scratched the surface yet!Also you don't have to be an expert at any one thing. Maybe you don't consider yourself an expert at all, but someone looks at you and sees you as a pretty smart cookie! Maybe you're just the quickest diaper changer or the best cook or maybe you're good at baseball or maybe you just like to read what someone else writes! Who says you wouldn't fit in here? No matter what anyone writes if there are no readers what's the use?It takes all people to make a world and we can all take part in this project. No one has to fit inside a box here. So jump in and write about what's important to YOU. Add your favorite recipe, or teach someone how to cook, or give a sewing lesson. Show someone how to fix their car or change their oil. Just tell about your EXPERIENCES. You don't have to be a marketer to fit in here.
